Job Description:
Our client is a power generation and infrastructure company headquartered in Dedham, Massachusetts. They are looking for a Maintenance Manager in their Morris, Illinois location. The company is engaged in power generation through hydro, natural gas, biomass, and coal fired power plants. The Morris facility is a 177 MW natural gas-fired cogeneration facility. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of all maintenance functions, including staff and service administration (including staff, contractors, and offsite repair services). The incumbent must effectively and efficiently supervise the development and direction of the maintenance team, to drive plant reliability and meet financial targets. The candidate must ensure that all departments are compliant with all applicable legislation, including, but not limited to Occupational Health laws, and any relevant local safety and environmental legislation, in addition to conformance with all company policies and procedures.You must work in cooperation with the Operations team to support reliable operations, and supply critical information to the plant manager concerning maintenance matters while leading the team in achieving company goals and objectives. In this role, the Maintenance Manager is expected to:- Use effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on leadership, behavioral safety andcommunications- Oversee the daily maintenance of a power plant- Monitor for efficiency and safety ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirementsare followed- Assign, supervise and direct the maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring that allrequisite tasks are carefully planned, and completed, with the focus on safety andefficiency- Ensure that safety is a priority and that all employees orcontracted personnel abide by all applicable and Health and Safety regulations andinternal policies and procedures- Manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of both major and minor maintenanceoutages, within the established budgetary and schedule metrics- Order spare parts, materials, and tools in a timely manner for plantmaintenance- Responsible for the maintenance aspects of the O&M budget, with P&L accountabilityBase salary with 15% cash bonus, awesome benefits and 401k. Day shift role. The current Manager retiring late 2023 and will be there to mentor new Manager. There is a long history hiring veteran talent.
