The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the effective operation and management of Woodland Gourmet's maintenance department. This role is critical in ensuring the company's equipment, facilities, and production lines are in excellent working condition. The Maintenance Manager collaborates closely with the Production team and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision: Supervise the maintenance department staff, including technicians and support personnel. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Budget Management: Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality standards. Track expenses and oversee the maintenance budget.
Maintenance Programs: Develop work plans for maintenance (PM, PdM, and Corrective work), providing the necessary information to enable the efficient scheduling, assigning, and execution of maintenance work. Manage equipment reliability and meet key performance metrics while staying within the Reliability, maintenance, and Capital Project budget, including working with vendors to ensure the best prices and swift delivery.
Equipment Inspection: Oversee regular inspections of production equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and coordinate repairs and replacements as necessary.
Safety Compliance: A relentless commitment to safety excellence, demonstrating behaviors that drive a Safety-First core value, and fostering a culture where every team member is empowered and supported to achieve their work.
Spare Parts Inventory: Manage and optimize spare parts inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary components to support maintenance activities.
Vendor Relations: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair services, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely completion of work.
Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, reduce downtime, and increase equipment efficiency.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment manuals, and relevant documentation to track performance and facilitate future maintenance.
Emergency Response: Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests, ensuring quick and effective solutions.
