- Directs and manages the employees engaged in the overall maintenance and upkeep of the building,equipment, and grounds of the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center.
- Supervises the safety security officers who provide protection for the residents and staff, and whotransport residents to appointments.
- Oversees janitorial and laundry services for the facility.
- Obtains and monitors contractual services for physical plant safety, support, and utility systems forthe building.
- Ensures preventive maintenance program is properly conducted and documented.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:Seven years of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services or mechanical maintenance experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:Formal training in industrial arts, horticulture, building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, mechanical engineering, or a related field will substitute for the experience on a year-for- year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.
