The Role of Maintenance Manager:
As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all plant equipment and systems. Reporting to the Plant Manager and working closely with the Plant Leadership Team, you will play a key role in achieving the company's goals. This position is ideal for a proactive leader who is skilled in preventive and predictive maintenance and passionate about building and leading high-performing teams.
Responsibilities of Maintenance Manager:
- Lead maintenance safety initiatives to achieve zero injuries.
- Supervise and develop the Maintenance Team, including Maintenance and Electrical Supervisors, Planner/Scheduler, and Inventory Coordinators.
- Collaborate with operations to prioritize and plan maintenance tasks to ensure high reliability at minimal cost.
- Train and empower the maintenance team to deliver safe, timely, and cost-effective maintenance.
- Implement and manage the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders, parts, and maintenance history.
- Control repair and maintenance budgets, continually seeking cost reductions.
- Monitor and manage spare parts and maintenance supply inventories.
- Ensure compliance with all city, county, state, and federal maintenance regulations.
Requirements of Maintenance Manager:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (BSME preferred) and at least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, with 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
- A track record of successfully managing and developing cross-functional teams to meet clear expectations and performance KPIs.
- Proficiency in predictive/preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and improving plant metrics.
- Effective communicator who can lead and inspire teams, collaborate with cross-functional leaders, and deliver data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
- Analytical and action-oriented, with a knack for problem-solving and a strong sense of urgency.
- Financially astute with experience managing maintenance budgets and implementing cost-effective solutions.
