The Company

We are delighted to be partnered with a leading developer/owner/operator of RNG who is looking for a Maintenance & Reliability Manager to join their team.

The Role

The Maintenance & Reliability Manager, reporting directly to the Director of Operations, will develop and implement maintenance schedules, manage budgets, foster departmental collaboration, ensure safety, and improve equipment reliability.

Key duties include supervising third-party services, overseeing maintenance operations, and working closely with Operations Managers to enhance site performance and reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing maintenance schedules that minimize downtime.
  • Ensuring fiscal responsibility in managing the maintenance budget.
  • Fostering departmental synergy for holistic facility management.
  • Upholding and improving safety standards.
  • Pioneering improvements in equipment reliability and maintenance techniques.
  • Implement the plant's preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance program.
  • Manage equipment failure records to diagnose the root causes of repetitive failures.
  • Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of third parties.
  • Manage and monitor both planned and unplanned maintenance activities, and coordinate outage activities, including outage planning.
  • Oversee maintenance team staffing, training, and qualification plans for all operations and maintenance phases.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to identify necessary maintenance activities to maintain and enhance plant operability.
  • Identify and execute plant improvement projects aimed to enhance performance and reduce at enhancing performance and reducing corrective maintenance activities.
  • Enhance the plant's image as a good neighbor in the community and environment.
  • Provide necessary reports to the owner and/or utilities and oversee the daily upkeep of essential plant logs and records.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of plant maintenance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current plant goals, operating requirements, and industry standards.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent is preferred.

Experience Required

  • At least 5 years in maintenance management, with experience in ethanol, chemical, oil & gas, or similar industrial settings highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Expert in troubleshooting with a keen eye for detail.
  • Deep understanding of maintenance best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge and extensive experience in Power Plant operations or a similar field is required.
  • Proven experience in managing maintenance programs, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, preferably in a power plant or similar industrial setting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of power plant equipment and systems, with the ability to diagnose equipment failures and implement best practices for plant performance improvement.
