Position Summary: The Maintenance Manager is fully responsible to ensure optimal equipment and facilities operation through developing and overseeing all preventive/ predictive maintenance related activities and initiatives. This role will report to the Operational Excellence Manager and have responsibility to ensure all equipment is fully functional to support a revolutionary, highly automated, fast-paced home building operation.
Duties / Responsibilities:- Ensure facility and production equipment is fully operational to achieve expected production levels.
- Develop and maintain processes and schedules to ensure preventive, predictive and overall machine health is maintained.
- Work closely with production leaders for repair, rebuild initiatives.
- Serve as onsite extension of Clayton facilities and automation teams to have expert level equipment knowledge.
- Oversee maintenance staff with responsibility for selection, development, growth and management of highly engaged and capable workforce.
- Work closely with Operations Excellence team to identify and execute opportunities for increased efficiency, accuracy, etc through equipment operations.
- Responsible for maintenance and project activities for production or facilities improvement initiatives.
- Trains maintenance & production staff on effective maintenance practices, including effective use of the problem solving tools, risk and failure analysis, maintenance scheduling and analysis of maintenance related data and equipment histories.
- Lead the facility in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), develop a robust Preventative Maintenance system, support and complete Root Cause Analysis and Breakdown Analysis utilizing the CMMS.
- Partner with business leaders on implementation of equipment and manufacturing reliability, process improvements (Lean) including leading change initiatives, planning, and facilitation of improvement project(s) completion.
- All other duties as assigned by Plant Manager to support the facility.
Qualifications:- 5+ years of maintenance experience within an automated manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 3 years' leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Extensive knowledge including but not limited to the following areas Mechanical Operations, Electrical maintenance, Instrumentation, Electronics/Controls, and Utility Systems.
- Interpersonal and communications skills to motivate, empower, train, direct, lead, evaluate and coach a diverse group of team members to reach their fullest potential.
- Ability to effectively plan and manage through change within large enterprise organizations
- Microsoft Office and CMMS experience and proficiency required.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelors' Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant Technical Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Electrician, or equivalent.
Travel Requirements:- 20% during start-up phase of facility
