Location: High Bridge, NJSummaryThe Level 1 Maintenance Technician is an entry-level position responsible for performing basic maintenance tasks under close supervision. This role is designed for individuals developing their skills in maintenance operations. The employee will work in a supportive environment, receiving guidance and training to progress in their career.Responsibilities
  • Complete the 30/90 day training tracker and adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally, and follow basic instructions to complete tasks.
  • Perform simple welding and torch operations as needed, and own and properly use basic hand tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Execute basic preventative maintenance activities, read and comprehend repair manuals, and understand different types of mechanical fasteners.
  • Assist other departments to complete work orders and comply with company safety requirements at all times
  • Perform basic troubleshooting with guidance from experienced technicians and solve practical problems as they arise.
  • Conduct all assignments within the assigned timeframe and other duties as delegated by the supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, communicate issues clearly and respectfully, and adhere to all relevant procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Basic welding / torch use
  • Understand mechanical fastener types, application and installation procedures.
  • Ability to follow basic directions
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Detail and safety oriented.
  • Communicates (written/verbal) well
  • Bilingual a plus.
Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Understand and trained in Lock Out Tag Out and Personal Protection Equipment
  • Owns basic hand tools and understands how to properly use them
