- Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems (some examples below) in a timely manner; reports other problems to Supervisor. Typical items include repairing various electrical, vacuum, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; performing mechanical calibrations and alignments; and assembling and testing motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other machinery related equipment.
- Preform general and preventative maintenance multiple production systems in and around the facility.
- Performs mechanical calibrations and alignments during preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Applies related knowledge to test and/or modify operational machinery and control equipment.
- Accurately completes daily maintenance reports.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment and conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste.
- Follows safety policies and procedures; reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor.

- Typical education required Associate Degree, Military, or Civilian Equivalent in Industrial Maintenance Technology.
Competencies - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- One to two years related experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work with minimal supervision. Flexible able to quickly shift priorities as needed.
- Able to work from verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment and Physical DemandsWork EnvironmentMaintenance: Self-paced, 8 hr shifts. May be exposed to fumes, loud noises and extreme temperatures infrequently. Functional near, far and peripheral vision and functional hearing required. Physical DemandsMaintenance: Medium - Very heavy, lifting up to 150 lbs.
