Job Description:
This is a 3rd Shift role, the work schedule is: Sunday-Thursday, 10:00pm-6:00am Eastern TimeSUMMARYPerforms a wide variety of complex maintenance duties to repair and maintain equipment and facilitiesusing multiple skills generally applicable to manufacturing maintenance and building trades.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans procedures, repairs, and installs production and building equipment.
  • Performs electrical, piping, carpentry, painting, hydraulic/ pneumatic, sheet metal work, and othermaintenance trade tasks to maintain or improve production operations.
  • Disassembles and determines extent of repairs necessary on a variety of production machinery. Informssupervisor of critical situations.
  • Identifies and/or makes repair parts. Performs welding and routine machining operations as necessary.
  • Conducts preventative maintenance on plant equipment. Schedules, inspects, oils, greases, adjusts andrefers problems to manager or team lead.
  • Installs water and air lines. Performs major building repairs or installations.
  • Instructs and directs one or two maintenance mechanic B or Cs.
  • Maintains established quality and quantity standards.
  • Follows prescribed safety precautions, established by company and department policies, procedures,rules and regulations.
  • Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and questionableconditions to proper supervision.
  • Maintains work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
  • Supports department initiatives. Performs additional duties as assigned by the Facility Manager or TeamLead.
QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
  • Must have 3-5 years' experience in a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with mig welding and machining.
  • Must have knowledge of measurement techniques and principles. Should have knowledge of how to useVernier, tape measure, and other measuring tools.
  • Must possess skills to utilize a large number of hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels of the organization aswell as with outside contractors.
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess basic to intermediate computer skills including knowledge of MS Windows applications.
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must have the ability to complete assignments within time frame specified by Facility Manager or TeamLead.
  • Must be flexible with work schedules and be available to work overtime on evenings and weekends, withor without advanced notice.
  • Must be able to be on-call as necessary.
