Job SummaryUnder the general direction of the Group Leader and/or direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Mechanic performs a variety of building maintenance and repairs on all kitchen equipment, refrigeration, and air conditioning units. Core Job ResponsibilitiesProvide general mechanical services in repairing of hospital machinery.Building maintenance and repair tasks of a skilled or semi-skilled natureAbility to comprehend construction drawings and printsUnderstands filing system and participates in keeping system in order for departmental useAbility to properly estimate labor hours and materials for project work. Assists Engineering Supervisors in finalizing estimated project costs.Properly fills out purchase requisitions for materials and includes area materials are to be allocated to.
