Come join us and become a part of our winning formula!ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:Respond rapidly to all production breakdowns with a strong sense of urgency.Layout and perform complex machining operation on replacement parts using lathes, milling machines drills and surface grinders.Interpret blueprints, sketches or other specs.Diagnose and remedy machine faults, determine necessary repairs, strip and reassemble.Install plant processing equipment including copper, stainless steel, plastic and iron pipefitting.Trouble shoot and repair vacuum, centrifugal, diaphragm, gear and reciprocating pumpsInspect all plant equipment and machinery for proper lubrication and perform other preventive maintenance.Weld metal objects together by means of tig, oxyacetylene, brazing or arc welder apparatus.Perform simple adjustments, repairs or replacements on motors, controls, on electrical equipment.Follow SCN BestCo's LOTO Policy and procedures to ensure that machines or equipment are isolated from all potentially hazardous energy before performing cleaning, service or maintenance activities where they may be an unexpected energization, start-up, or release of stored energy.Learn machine operating and maintenance requirements of all production machines and equipmentSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, basic electrical, welding and pipe-fitting skillsTechnical understandingGood analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detailGood writing, reading and math skillsAbility to communicate clearly and accurately with peers, managers, and productions staffA sound knowledge of strengths and mechanical properties of materialsAbility to use common precision measuring instruments, gauges and hand toolsSupply a quality set of standard and metric size mechanic's toolsUnderstanding of proper lubrication techniquesAbility to work accurately; within machine specified tolerancesDeals with uncertaintyBasic computer and email skillsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 3 years of maintenance experience.Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Ability to work flexible hours, overtime and shifts (Must be able to work 2nd, 3rd or 12-hour shifts)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:3+ years of maintenance experienceExperience working in an industrial settingPLC experienceExperience in the Pharmaceutical industryKnowledge of OSHA RegulationsNCMI GraduateEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
