Join us as a Maintenance Mechanic II

This position works under general supervision and is primarily responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing production equipment and machinery. Assist with maintenance of building facilities as requested by management.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

* Maintaining the condition of the production and facility equipment as per state regulations.

* Ensuring optimum operation of all production equipment and machinery by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing any problems in a timely manner.

* Maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing all building systems and their components, including lighting, HVAC, production wastewater system, steam, compressed air, hot and cold water systems, electrical, foam system, and all similar systems located throughout the facility.

* Completing all required computer logs and paperwork.

To succeed you must hold:

* Ability to read, write and speak English.

* Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts including conversion of weight and volume in the metric system.

* Basic knowledge of boiler plant fundamentals, HVAC operations and troubleshooting.

* Ability to read and follow basic building diagrams and schematics.

* Possess a working knowledge of computers with an ability to operate basic controls for equipment operation.

* Ability to use basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrench) for assembly and disassembly of equipment.

* Should be a self-starter that can prioritize their workday and function with minimal direct supervision.

* Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers regarding the status of a mechanical project.

* Must be a member of the First Aid Team/Safety Committee and a Fire Protection Monitor.

* Must maintain a valid drivers license and forklift license.

* Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.

* These characteristics are normally acquired through a High school diploma or GED, with one-year certificate from a technical school, and 1 to 3 years related experience
