Maintenance Mechanic
- Chicago suburbs foods manufacturer is presently searching for 3 Maintenance Mechanics, 1 on each shift to join their facility due to an expansion
- Jobs available on all 3 shifts: 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift
- Equipment includes mixers, blenders, high-speed packaging, conveyors, PLC's, case erectors, de-palletizers, laser code daters, metal detectors, wrappers, palletizers, extruders, ovens, cooling tunnels, dryers, and related.

Position Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair all food processing and packaging equipment in operation which includes mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Provide technical support for efficient troubleshooting / problem solving activities and maintenance repair to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime
- Perform PMs to ensure machinery is at its full potential
- Meet plant objectives in safety, quality, cost, and customer care
- Run projects to ensure equipment is running properly
- Troubleshoot PLC's, VFD's and automated equipment
Job Qualifications:
- Prefer AAS or other technical discipline or an equivalent combination of training and maintenance electrical / mechanical troubleshooting experience
- 4+ years of maintenance manufacturing experience. Chemical, food, packaging, or similar industry is preferred but open to any industry if its manufacturing
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electric motors, pumps, valves, belts, chains, sprockets, bearings, pulley's, gearboxes, valves, conveyors, and various related equipment
- Able to troubleshoot PLC's, servo's, VFD's, relays, sensors and switches is a plus
- Able to read blueprints and schematics is preferred
- Experience with fabrication, welding, pipefitting, boilers, or HVAC is a plus
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, energetic, punctual, hard-working, and eager to improve processes/ streamline the equipment
