MechanicThe Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining all machinery to ensure it operates safely and efficiently. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and will take charge of the operation and upkeep of machinery, as well as handling facility maintenance and special projects. Responsibilities:
- Maintain equipment in proper working condition, with a focus on large machinery in the blanking area. Duties include preventative maintenance and handling daily repair requests as needed.
- Perform facilities maintenance and manage special projects to ensure safety and compliance with operational standards.
- Enforce safety protocols on the production floor to create a safe environment for both machinery and employees.
- Maintain clear communication with production managers and workers to ensure tasks are understood and completed effectively.
- Foster positive relationships and uphold high standards of customer service with all employees in the facility.
- Contribute to maintaining and improving the overall condition of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with all levels of the organization.

- A safety-conscious mindset with the ability to identify and report risks.
- Must demonstrate sound judgment, creativity, and both personal and professional integrity.
Experience: 3+ years of maintenance work in a manufacturing environment, with experience in troubleshooting power transmission systems, machine controls, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems. Welding and machining experience is a plus. Must own a suitable set of hand tools.
