Job Title: Maintenance MechanicGeneral Job Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic performs essential mechanical repairs on both production and non-production equipment. This role ensures the proper functioning of manufacturing machinery and facilities through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Adheres to all safety processes and procedures in accordance with company policies.Interprets machine operation manuals to diagnose issues and identify sources of problems.Disassembles, repairs, and replaces defective components on manufacturing equipment.Specifies and quotes replacement items necessary for manufacturing equipment and facilities.Conducts preventative maintenance activities, including lubrication and cleaning of machinery.Performs basic repairs on building structures, plumbing, and grounds maintenance.Constructs simple facility improvement projects such as door frames, shelving, and partitions.Visually inspects and tests machinery to ensure proper function.Listens for unusual sounds from machines to detect malfunctions and discusses with supervisors or colleagues to diagnose problems.Cleans and lubricates machinery components such as shafts, bearings, and gears.Installs and repairs electrical apparatus and electronic components of machinery and equipment.Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.Must possess and maintain personal tools necessary for the job.Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment, including robots and programmable controllers, with proficiency in Ladder Logic.Responds promptly to emergency breakdowns on an as-needed basis.Performs other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent (GED).3-5 years of related experience or training in mechanical maintenance.Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical systems, and automated machinery is required.Click on APPLY NOW for instant consideration!
