Position Responsibilities Assists with preventive maintenance on the HVAC Control System and related components to maintain system operation and reliability to ensure continuous air supply to critical and non-critical facilities, equipment, and systemsAssists with and inspects, tests, evaluates, calibrates, and updates HVAC Control Systems to improve reliability and to assure dependability, safety, and compliance Assists with routine plumbing, which includes repair and replacement of drains, wastes and vents piping; repairs and replaces of potable water distribution lines; repairs and replaces fixtures. Assists with routine electrical repair; installs and repairs light fixtures, wiring, boxes, conduit, switches and receptacles; trouble shoot circuit problems; install wiring; repair tools and related equipment. Assists with carpentry duties; demolishing structures, renovating rooms, office spaces and buildings; building custom cabinets, counters, benches, book cases, shelving, computer stands, work stations and miscellaneous wood related projects; repairing broken furniture; assembling new furniture; maintaining a woodworking shop; drawing rough drawings/blueprint plans for projects. Assists with Performing general maintenance and repair for all county buildings, facilities and grounds; move offices from one location to another; perform glass work, floor covering replacements and concrete work. Paints interiors and exteriors of buildings and facilities; install drywall; stain and finish woodwork. Assembles furniture and related assets. Performs locksmithing, glass work, flooring installations, and painting as directed or assigned. Assist with the maintenance, repair and installation of various types of mechanical equipment such as heat pumps, window units, boilers, gas burners, air vents, exhaust fans, air compressors, etc. Performs assigned functions as a Disaster Ready Team (DRT) member, if appointed or volunteer. Performs related tasks as required.
