Job Highlights - Helps to achieve maximum productivity within the department / plant by supporting the maintenance of all equipment, processes, pipings, insulation, etc. Shows initiative in troubleshooting problems to support the safety, achievement of production schedules, shipments, and other processes required to safely achieve compliance, good quality production and delivery of product ontime to customers.
- Processes document, conducts inspections, and maintains records
- Implements safe work practices including permit procedures, use of personal protective equipment, pretask hazard assessments, following procedures, housekeeping, etc. Mitigate & Reports unsafe act or condition
- Demonstrates initiative to complete assigned work, support troubleshooting, and support others. Works with minimum of supervision. Assists and trains others in the department as necessary. Identifies and recommends improvement and cost saving ideas
- Attends plant and departmental training and meeting as required. Supports team activities such as HAZOPS, JSAs, safety teams & initiatives, etc.
- Familiar with, and able to implement, incident response procedures
Requirements - Minimum education required: High School Diploma, Trade School Training on Mechanical Equipment, possible Welding and or pipefitter training
- 3-5 years of experience
- Demonstrated knowledge Familiar with all tools, pump repair & installation, pipefitting, equipment repair, etc.
- Must be able to initiate PM maintenance
- Preferable past experience in pump repairs
- Welding/pipefitter experience
