Maintenance Mechanic

Maintains all refrigeration, air conditioning systems of the hospital. Performs a variety of other maintenance duties in and around the building and grounds of the hospital property.Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor, Director of Plant OperationsRequired SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Ability to read blueprints and experience in commercial plumbing and electrical applications required.Experience in health care building codes and maintenance preferred.Required Licensure/CertificationHVAC certification strongly preferred.EPA Universal Certification for refrigerants preferred.Valid driver's licenseAbility to regularly accept on-call assignments and ability to report to hospital within 30 minutes of notification.Handle with Care within one year of date of hire.Minimum EducationGraduate of two-year college course in refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance strongly preferred.Equal opportunity and affirmative action employers and are looking for diversity in candidates for employment: Minority/Female/Disabled/Protected Veteran
