Description Mill-Max Mfg. Corp., one of the world's leading manufacturers of electronic interconnect components seeks a motivated and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic Trainee to join our team in Oyster Bay, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in industrial equipment maintenance. The selected candidate will receive comprehensive training to perform various maintenance tasks, including but not limited to replacing/repairing pumps and executing plumbing repairs. Job Responsibilities:
- Will learn to diagnose mechanical issues and determine the appropriate repair or replacement of parts such as pumps and plumbing systems.
- Will gain proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Must follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Safety equipment, such as gloves and protective eyewear, will be provided and must be worn as instructed.
- Must be comfortable working in an environment that may include exposure to loud noises and varying temperatures.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0-2 year's related experience.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in learning about machinery and maintenance.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in maintenance work is a plus.
