MAINTENANCE PACKAGING ELECTRICIAN

Work directly for a (Somerset County, NJ) area leading name brand consumer products manufacturer.Maintenance Packaging Electrician:Provide multi-skilled technical leadership that will maintain, troubleshoot, repair and replace facility and operations equipment, components and systems. Will be primarily responsible for programming & troubleshooting PLCs. * Provides electrical expertise primarily to the Aerosol and Liquid Packaging Operations and all other departments as requested including troubleshooting and repair to maximize run time.* Demonstrated ability to program and/or troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).* Orders electrical/electronic parts and equipment for all departments.* Provides Packaging technical support to all Packaging departments as needed including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, changeover and repair of packaging line equipment.* Will have responsibility for the entire department on his/her assigned shift.SAFETY:* Understands and is accountable for full compliance with RB local and Global EHS Policies and programs (i.e., PPE, HAZCOM, Lockout Tag Out, process safety, etc.)* Participation in EHS programs (i.e., Behavior Safety Observations, near miss reporting, etc.)* Timely completion of all EHS training* Accurate and timely completion of Inspections, reports and forms required to comply with EHS rules and regulations* Where required, additional EHS training such as Hazardous Waste and/or HAZWOPER. Training will be provided in order for the employee to fulfill the requirement of his/her position.* Participate when needed in EHS internal/external audits and/or regulatory inspections* Active participation during incident investigations and promoting all safety activities/events QUALITY:* Understands and is accountable for following: all Quality, GMP, and cleaning standards and guidelines* Follows current work instruction and ensures adherence to the Quality Control Plan and related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).* Performs Statistical Process Control Charting and takes appropriate corrective action.* Performs and practices good Housekeeping.* Consistently meets and/or exceeds quality standards* Actively presents solutions related to quality to the leadership teamTEAMWORK:* Consistently demonstrates leadership abilities on designated lines that he/she is operating.* Trains and certifies new Technicians, Operators, and Temps as needed.Works effectively in a Team based work environment.Job RequirementsQualifications: * Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in a team-based manufacturing environment; on high speed packaging equipment preferred.* Associates and/or Bachelors degree in the mechanical and/or electrical disciplines preferred. * Electrical certification preferred.* Must be knowledgeable of preventative maintenance techniques and have the ability to develop and work PM crew to improve preventive maintenance programs from vendor manuals * Strong mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, or reliability maintenance background is desired Welding and Machining is a plus.* Must have PLC programming experience and troubleshooting capabilities. * Consistently meets and occasionally exceeds production goals in a safe manner that emphasizes quality to our customers. * Application and facilitation of continuous improvement tools, TPM, 5S, FMEA, etc.
