Job Summary The maintenance person works closely with the General Manager and the Production Supervisor(s) on a daily basis to ensure efficient plant operations. This position is responsible for ensuring that the plant and all of its equipment stay operational, as well as administeringroutine maintenance and general facility upkeep. The maintenance position is vital to the success of the plant and tasks can vary from day to day. Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Associates / Bachelor's degree or Technical / Trade certification preferred
- Knowledge and previous experience with various mechanical and electrical systems, as well as previous experience with general maintenance, electrical systems, welding, fabrication, troubleshooting, and overhead cranes
Summary of Essential Job Functions Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring all plant equipment necessary for production is operational at all times
- Providing repairs and routine maintenance for the facility and equipment including:
- Lifts, cranes, furnaces, etc.
- Miscellaneous repairs involving bending, straitening, cutting and welding various steel products
RequirementsMinimum Requirements
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license
- Previous experience operating various industrial equipment including: overhead cranes, forklifts, cutting torches and other welding equipment
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Must be dependable and willing to work overtime in an outdoor environment
