Job Description:
US Farathane is seeking a Maintenance Planner. US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE's and TPO's as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies. The role of the Maintenance Planner is to preserve the useful life of equipment and avoid premature failures. Awareness of early detection of impending problems before failure and prevents a critical level of deterioration. Maintenance Planner must utilize lead time to deliberately plan repair work and carry it out with effective use of their resources. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Interact with vendors in procurement of cost-effective components.
  • Assign work orders to technicians based on their skill sets; Injection units, Robotic systems, Compressors, Chillers, Silos, Water Towers, Vacuum Systems
  • Maintain Parts+ work order system daily
  • Track labor per work order and be able to report total cost
  • Maintain asset history, work completed, parts purchased/replaced
  • Continually evolve and improve Preventative and Predictive maintenance system
  • Maintain spare part inventories, make recommendations for min/max inventory levels and identify critical spare parts
  • Order spare parts including expediting orders for emergency breakdowns and track them
  • Assist EHS Coordinator in scheduling tasks per the Risk Management List using maintenance expertise and appropriate time
  • Follow all prescribed manufacturer maintenance procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.
ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Familiar with ISO 14001 policies and procedures. Active participant and responsible for in plant environmental / ISO activities. Cooperation with action directives.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE:
  • Related technical certificates, five years of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous plastics experience preferred. Knowledge of Engel and Krauss Mafei presses is helpful, and Whittman and Fanuc robots
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
