Job Summary

Provides assistance to project team to ensure compliance with established processes and procedures. Assists team in processing and/or tracking documents, contract work orders, submittals, invoices etc. to ensure the goals/objectives of the project are accomplished in a timely fashion. Assists team supervisor as available to provide support, reporting and other duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works under the guidance of Supervisor to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives
  • Coordinates project activities - assigns tasks and provides guidance to personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of the project.
  • Serves as a central point of contact should specific personnel not be available
  • Works with contractors and vendors as needed
  • Manages and administers coordination of meetings (including agendas) and internal and external communications
  • Prepares project and other work status reports as directed
  • Processes pay applications and vendor invoices
  • Assists team in preparing reports
  • Assists in closing out projects, collects all close out documents
  • Manages compliance in details, documents schedules and budgets; uploads to eBuilder as required by SSC standards and procedures
  • Contributes to the effective Planning and Construction team management of all relevant problems, issues and opportunities
  • Assists in managing projects as assigned by Supervisor
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Some travel may be required

JOB REQUIREMENT:

  • Bachelors Degree and/or experience working in a construction-related environment. Ability to learn new concepts and absorb and process/interpret new information with ease
  • Strong computer skills necessary, including knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Must be proficient in Excel and have a working knowledge of estimating software
  • Basic ability to read and interpret blue prints, preferred
  • Valid drivers license and good driving record required
  • Ability to work well with a broad customer base, including coworkers, superiors, contractors/vendors, and University personnel
