Our local client is seeking a Maintenance Purchasing Clerk to join their team. The ideal candidate will have previous Manufacturing and Purchasing experience that will align successfully in the organization. This is a Permanent Position!

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Maintenance Purchasing Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of maintenance supplies, equipment, and services. This role involves coordinating with vendors, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support our maintenance operations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement: Source and purchase maintenance supplies, equipment, and services in accordance with company policies and budget constraints.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure quality and timely delivery of goods.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations. Conduct regular inventory audits.
  • Order Processing: Prepare and process purchase orders, track orders, and resolve any discrepancies or issues with deliveries.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and supplier information. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Cost Management: Analyze and report on purchasing costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to reduce expenses.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance team to understand their needs and ensure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in business administration or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management, preferably in a maintenance or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of maintenance supplies and equipment is a required.
