The Department of Human Services (DHS), Danville State Hospital is seeking a reliable Maintenance Repairman 2. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will complete various tasks in the repair and maintenance of buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment. You will install flooring, paint or varnish surfaces, fabricate metal products, and use journey-level skills to perform carpentry and masonry work. In addition, you will plan assignments and conduct hands-on training. As a lead worker, you will ensure efficient completion of tasks and compliance with all codes and regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
+ Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. May change based on operational needs.
+ Overtime as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or
+ Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
