DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will apply your expertise to restore a variety of building elements, encompassing roofs, doors, and furniture, while also fabricating temporary partitions and constructing forms. Furthermore, you will be responsible for operating both power and hand tools to execute assigned carpentry tasks, which include painting the interiors and exteriors of buildings; conducting masonry work on structures such as foundations, walkways, and walls; and installing and maintaining plumbing fixtures and drainage systems. Additionally, you will be tasked with the installation of electrical circuits, wall receptacles, switches, and lighting fixtures, along with performing diagnostic testing and repairs on electrical equipment and systems. Your responsibilities will also extend to welding and brazing metals using arc and acetylene welders, erecting steel for construction purposes, and executing repairs on bridge structures. This will involve building forms, finishing concrete, and welding steel components, all guided by the interpretation of blueprint plans. Interested in learning more?   • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Shift hours and days vary due to operational need.
  • Weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or
  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirements:
  • This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
