Job Reference 1251483 Location Freeport, Texas, United States Industry Process - Chemicals Function Planning / Scheduling Job Type Contract Date Added November 19, 2024 Our client is seeking a Maintenance Scheduler to work within their facility located in Freeport, TX, for a long-term contract. The maintenance scheduler will be primarily responsible for the maintenance scheduling process for the safe and efficient execution of maintenance work in a 24x7 continuous process chemical plant using SAP and Prometheus. This includes creating daily and weekly schedules and scheduling preventive maintenance work, monitoring completion of work and facilitating backlog management. Job Responsibilities:
- Working with the gatekeeper/maintenance supervisor on a daily and weekly basis, to understand the SAP CMMS work orders that are to be placed on the daily and weekly work schedules for all crafts based on gatekeeper's prioritization.
- If there are constraints regarding parts, equipment, and or external resources, with work orders to be placed on the daily or weekly schedules, consult with the gatekeeper regarding priority adjustments to the schedules.
- Assure all weekly and daily schedules are appropriately resource loaded, including all company resources and nested contractors (both direct and indirect personnel)
- Works closely with the materials coordinator to ensure material and service availability to meet schedules for daily and forecasted work.
- Procures and Schedules outside service vendors that are needed for scheduled work per job plans.
- Perform back-up functions for the Maintenance Planner, including being able to field plan, prepare job packages, and prepare job plans in the SAP CMMS. May also need to prepare needed purchase requisition for materials or service providers.
- Openly, willingly and with an encouraging attitude, accept constructive feedback from gatekeeper and crafts to improve scheduling and overall schedule attainment/efficient execution.
- May be asked to support turnaround activities at site in a planning or coordinating role.
- Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
