Summary: Perform a wide variety of complex duties associated with the application of one or more craft skills to install, fabricate, troubleshoot, repair, move, and maintain a wide variety of production equipment, facility equipment, building, and system
Essential Duties and Accountabilities: - Reads and interprets technical manuals, drawings, schematic diagrams, and works from verbal instructions to determine, estimate, and order material requirements and plans and lay out the details of the job.
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains a wide variety of complex mechanical, Electrical /electronic, pneumatic, and Hydraulic equipment and systems such as motors, pumps, piping systems, conveyor systems, production machinery, and instrumentation equipment.
- Installs and moves machinery and equipment to effect layout changes as required work may include operations such as rigging, moving, erecting, aligning, and Making necessary hookups to place equipment in proper operating condition.
- Completed pipe Fitting, welding, torch cutting, and PVC fabrication work required for the repair and installation of all equipment and facilities.
- Keep the production work area neat and clean while performing repairs , preventative maintenance, etc., and clean up the area before leaving when the job is completed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: - A high school diploma with additional technical training is preferred.
- Basic troubleshooting Skills, Mechanical, electrical, and welding (preferred) Machine repair
- Must be able to operate Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Be able to work in a team environment and lead a team.
- Coordinate with production on what priority emphasis is to be run during their respective shifts.
- Coordinate the necessary PMs and Manage the Shiloh PM system and log book throughout the shift to ensure an understanding of equipment status.
- Converse with other leadmen during shift changes on projects in action.
- Organize& delegate shift priority.
- Assess the job: What has to be done? What needs to be ordered? Who is going to do it? Coordinating and distributing all details. Communicate with other shifts and coworkers to ensure the process of project or repair.
- Organized that he and all coworkers work according to OSHA and Dura-Shiloh safety standards
Physical Demands: - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work overtime
- Must be able to work above floor level, in oily conditions, and tight spaces
- Must be able to work in a High-Temperature environment and Wear Protective Clothing.
