This maintenance specialist position is responsible for maintenance of buildings, vehicles and grounds of campuses in Denton County.
* Tend daily to emergency, urgent, and routine maintenance requests
* Perform regular walk-through inspections of college buildings and campus grounds and property
* Patrol for and clean up litter and other debris on campus grounds
* Regularly inspect and maintain fleet vehicles
* Frequently read and process work-orders, email notifications and organizational news
* Routinely organize and clean workshop/office
* Perform set-up and take-down for events and meetings
* Cleaning of building exteriors and campus property
* Remain prepared to quickly respond to urgent and/or immediate assistance requests
* Provide for arrangement, rearrangement, installation, moving and removal of furniture
* Pick-up, transport and deliver packages and supplies
This is a position that provides variable demanding job roles.
Focusing mainly on maintaining structural integrity and mission critical functions for the entirety of the institution, it is the responsibility of the Maintenance Technician to use better judgement and communication in mandating jobs either solely or through escalation. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the need of the department and the institution.
