Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor - Food and Beverage ManufacturerJob Description:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at a food and beverage manufacturing facility. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations to ensure the reliable operation of equipment, machinery, and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance management, preferably in the food and beverage industry, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians and mechanics to ensure the effective and timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Plan and prioritize maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and troubleshooting, to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and food safety standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP) in all maintenance activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance activities, and oversee procurement as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Train and develop maintenance team members on safety procedures, equipment operation, and maintenance best practices.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance downtime and coordinate repairs with minimal disruption to production schedules.
- Implement and maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track maintenance activities, generate reports, and analyze data for continuous improvement.
- Participate in emergency response and crisis management as needed, ensuring prompt resolution of equipment failures or breakdowns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience (X+ years) in maintenance supervision or management, preferably in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, including mechanical, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with food safety standards (GMP, HACCP) and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and coach a diverse team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CMMS software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overtime as needed.
