This role will report to the site Maintenance Manager.As Maintenance Supervisor, you will role model Weyerhaeuser's core values of safety, integrity, citizenship, sustainability, and inclusion by working with other leaders and your team to create a positive environment with open, honest communication among associates. You will plan and lead the daily activities of a team of millwrights, electricians, and mechanics in the areas of safety, quality, and reliability focused maintenance practices. You will also be responsible for leading team meetings & trainings, identifying safety, environmental, quality & production issues, coordinating activities with production teams to maximize productivity and minimize cost, and reducing waste while proactively addressing reliability concerns. Additionally, you will lead the team by proactively resolving employee issues, building teamwork, and ensuring adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.Key Functions:Plan, develop, manage, and provide effective leadership for the maintenance teamEnsure the safety of all associates by identifying safety issues and taking measures to proactively address concernsActively supervise and develop the maintenance team to ensure effective communication across and between shifts, and with the production teamsUtilize preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtimeEfficiently use reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure uptime, production volume, and quality goals are metEffectively utilize training resources to maximize team technical skillsUse computerized maintenance management systems to support effective prioritization of maintenance requests, manage maintenance inventory, and delegate maintenance resourcesLead team meetings and trainingIdentify safety, reliability, environmental, quality and production issuesCoordinate activities with the production team to maximize productivity and minimize costReduce waste and take measures to proactively address all concernsProactively resolve employee issues, build team work, and ensure adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures in a fair and consistent mannerOther duties as assignedAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferredAt least 3 years' experience in a supervisory role in an industrial environmentProven ability to lead a team to be accountable and meet department metrics and goalsWork-related experience in leading and ensuring compliance with safety initiativesKnowledgeable in the areas of hydraulics, air systems, mechanical drives, mechanical components, installation methods, troubleshooting and repair techniques and methods, welding, and basic industrial electricalProven expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance methodsAbility to identify root cause of problems and effectively initiate immediate corrective action to prevent reoccurrenceExcellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skillsDemonstrated ability to raise performance by building and maintaining positive relationships with all associates through coaching and developmentStrong planning and organizational skillsStrong work ethic, good judgment, and decision-making skillsTrack record of consistently demonstrating leadership skills as well as positive influence and accomplishments in proactively influencing safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and people developmentBasic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other Windows-based programs and internet skillsDemonstrated results in achieving and sustaining business goalsKnowledge of Maintenance Planning software such as Maximo or SAPPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related fieldWorking knowledge of business and financial conceptsDemonstrated results in achieving and sustaining business goalsWhat we offer:Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $66,703 - $100,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications, and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
