PeerSource is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor on a Direct Hire basis for our client in Phoenix, AZ.
Summary
The person in this role oversees the maintenance team, handling a variety of tasks including installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and upkeep of production and facility machinery. Their work is guided by safety protocols and maintenance strategies aimed at ensuring smooth operations and supporting the company's objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities for equipment and facilities at the site, ensuring proper functioning of production and facility machinery.
- Perform a range of maintenance tasks, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs, as well as the installation and upkeep of CNC machines.
- Handle both emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance during production and off-hours, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, and conduct regular preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities.
- Mentor and train team members on equipment safety, maintenance procedures, and adherence to safety protocols, while fostering a positive and team-oriented environment.
- Maintain discipline, enforce safety guidelines, and collaborate with HR when necessary to ensure consistent practices across the team.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience
- Familiar with machine shop operations and machinery.
- Familiar with electrical/electronic troubleshooting equipment.
- Knowledge of variable frequency drive controls.
- Basic math skills required. Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills.
- Be/become certified on the forklift and other movable equipment.
- Ability to work independently and cooperate with other members of the team.
- High School diploma/GED or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience. AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
