Overview

CHENEGA BASE AND LOGISTICS SERVICES

Fort Cavazos, TX

The Maintenance Supervisor will provide managerial oversight, direction, and coordination for all Maintenance Order and Preventive Maintenance Support functions and tasking activities identified in the PWS to ensure compliance with contract requirements, and the effective, efficient, and economical operation of all activities.

Responsibilities

  • Work with various functional areas in evaluating existing processes and identifying process improvement opportunities to drive business results (i.e. cost reductions, operational efficiencies, adequate controls, etc.).
  • Ensure employees in functional areas follow established procedures and generate finished work product under time and budgetary constraints and ensures service yields the expected outcome and meets established goals.
  • Assist in definition of business requirements, analysis of business case, and development of project plans.
  • Work special high priority tasks as assigned.
  • Anticipate problems and work to mitigate risks.
  • Schedule, direct and supervise repair and/or replacement actions by qualified craftsmen.
  • Coordinate and oversee service vendors.
  • Review estimates and quotes for repairs and other maintenance actions.
  • Authorize expenditures for repair and other maintenance actions.
  • Determine quantities and types of repair parts and consumables required.
  • Determine tools and test equipment required for qualified craftsmen.
  • Determine training requirements for qualified craftsmen.
  • Schedule and distribute daily work requirements in conjunction with lead support.
  • Evaluate and validate work performed.
  • Responsible for the quality of work and to take any action necessary to ensure safety and contract compliance.
  • Responsible for certifying that all submittals and deliverables are in compliance with the contract requirements.
  • Point of Contact for work assigned to shop.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate coding of labor and materials associated with maintenance order work.
  • Review/evaluate the scope of project requirements: Materials needed, resources, and time to complete.
  • Ensure close out information on maintenance orders.
  • Maintain all records and documentation.
  • Ensure certifications and licenses are current and in compliance for operations.
  • Maintain copies of these records.
  • Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Plans and Programs by producing plans, validating the information listed, and making changes to plans as necessary for operational requirements.
  • Generate reports as requested by the Contract Maintenance Manager / Operations Manager.
  • Ensure accurate recording of time for project completion.
  • Handle complaint issues with customers, serves as the department's customer relations liaison.
  • Work with and/or through functional leads to control and direct work.
  • This position has been designated as Mission Critical. Mission Critical personnel are defined as those required to meet the Installation's safety (including inclement weather) and security needs during lockdown conditions.
  • This position may be part of an emergency management/response team as required by the company to meet contract requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and
  • Minimum five (5) years supervisory experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum two (2 )years supervisory experience
  • OSHA 30 General Industry / Construction Safety Training Preferred.
  • Possess a Valid Driver's License

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to understand, read, write, and speak fluent English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience acquired through a demonstrated history of supervisory jobs in commercial or military environments.
  • Facilities maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of required work ranging in a variety of maintenance and repairs.
  • Military background preferred.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
