Job Description:

Overall responsibilities and duties:

  • To ensure proper flow of work in plant including breakdowns, projects and routine assigned PM's. To implement and suggest continuous improvement ideas concerning safety and overall plant operations while inputting feedback as a member of the Faurecia Team.
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, and in fabricating metal parts and tools.

The main missions of the role are:

Designing and developing new control systems;

  • Directs workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
  • Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
  • Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
  • Requisitions and keeps supply of spare parts.
  • Modifies programming of robots and related equipment such as robot controllers and programmable controllers.
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Performs activities of workers supervised.
  • Log Work Orders into Computer Maintenance Management System and provide feedback to the originator.Follow up on all outstanding work orders as to the status and projected completion dates.
  • Coordinate downtime for machine modifications and PM's
  • Oversee, coordinate and track necessary training to Faurecia Technicians as needed.
  • Updates and modifications for equipment, labor, inventory, work orders and purchasing
  • Oversees inventory and spare parts tracking, including setup of a sector store with minimum/maximum levels and cost information.
  • Oversees and tracks all purchasing and receiving of goods up to payment of invoices.
  • Gathers all necessary report information on a monthly basis to the Engineering Manager including pertinent information such as: Machine downtime, most penalizing machines, labor cost by machine, PM, work order efficiency and labor hours by machines and work order type.

Qualifications:

Minimum education level: Bachelor's degree; or a combination of education and experience (US)

Experience:

3-5 years previous experience in production in an industrial environment
