Our client is in search of a military candidate with a strong maintenance leadership background who would be responsible for the day-to-day operations over the assigned shift.Responsibilities include managing projects, preventative maintenance activities, employee relations, upholding relevant policies and procedures, maintaining, and improving safety standards, and communications with management regarding activities and issues identified in the department.Overtime is required and a commitment to project completion in times of need is essential.Job duties:- Supervise approximately 20 union maintenance employees- Coordinate jobs based on preventive maintenance, production needs, and improvements- Maintain consistent operation of equipment and facilities on shift- Assure all safety procedures are followed- Assure required communications and training takes place through employee huddles- Track time and attendance, department changes, probationary periods- Assure team has tools, instructions, and manpower for projects- Assist Manager in planning and implementing shutdowns- Assist in grievance proceedings when required- Conformance to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and standards.Full benefits, educational reimbursement, 401k (50% company match on 4%.)
