Position Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor supports the area Maintenance Manager on shift and crew assignment in execution of the daily, weekly and monthly maintenance plans while supporting the production process achieving its throughput targets though downtime management. Supports the Maintenance Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, support site and organization objectives and goals as outlined below. Effectively lead and coordinate maintenance team members while actively driving initiatives to reduce losses and decrease overall maintenance costs. Proactively implement innovative ideas to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise maintenance technicians in day-to-day assignments
  • Coordinate tasks with the production manager to align with production needs
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance and production managers
  • Manage/maintain spare parts inventory, overtime schedules and forecasts, manpower plans, etc.
  • Plan and schedule daily, weekly and monthly maintenance projects as needed; oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive maintenance, maintaining the records and work orders
  • Assist in formulating and developing maintenance policies and procedures
  • Perform other position related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic:

  • Associate's Degree from a two-year college/technical school, or documented progressive work history.
  • 5 years of experience in high volume manufacturing environment in engineering or maintenance roles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various level of employees within all areas of the organization
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Proven track record of performance in maintenance, engineering or production roles
  • Demonstrated technical problem-solving proficiency
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business software systems
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • S. degree in an engineering, technical or leadership discipline
  • Project Management experience
  • Knowledge of maintenance KPI and metric principles
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing, test and facilities equipment systems
  • Exhibit critical thinking skills and an analytical mindset

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicals
  • Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • The role may be exposed to dust, solvents, welding, mixing, noise, high temperature, low humidity, air-conditioned environment, CT Scan, X-Ray, and high-security areas
