The ideal candidate will be constantly assessing the systems in place to ensure that they are both safe and operating efficiently. This candidate will be comfortable managing a team and conducting analysis in order to highlight areas for improvement. This candidate should also be comfortable ensuring necessary utilities are working correctly and possess strong organizational skills in order to keep track of multiple projects at once.
Responsibilities
- Oversees, supervises and/or performs all necessary facility maintenance including but not limited to: building maintenance, new construction and remodel work; electrical and plumbing installation and repairs; HVAC installation and repairs; flooring, roofing, grounds maintenance, irrigation and any other general and/or minor requests. Specific to SRA: Oversees the operations of the water treatment plants.
- Coordinates maintenance projects and work orders to ensure all requests are completed in a timely manner.
- Supplies budget line items.
- Coordinates maintenance supply requests from the purchasing department, if applicable.
- Oversees and performs preventative maintenance on all equipment throughout the facility. Ensures all site equipment is in good working order.
- Submits weekly logs of hours worked and a breakdown of tasks to the designated supervisor.
- Oversees, or performs when necessary, vehicle maintenance to ensure all fleet vehicles are safe and in good repair.
- Responds to emergency calls on the radio.
- Schedules and implements the maintenance plan.
- Covers for the maintenance staff on their days off.
- Performs data input on the preventative maintenance system.
- Serves as the site Fire Marshall. Completes weekly and monthly inspections for sanitation and fire safety and completes monthly fire drills, if applicable.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience supervising five or more employees.
- At least four years of experience in the field.
