The Role:

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to be based on the company's offshore Fast LNG asset in Altamira, Mexico. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities at the offshore LNG facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role involves leading a team of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation technicians, managing preventive and corrective maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and optimizing asset performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Planning and Execution

  • Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all facility equipment.
  • Coordinate corrective maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensure that all maintenance work is performed in compliance with company procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership and Supervision

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the maintenance team, including technicians and contractors.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide feedback to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular training and competency assessments to enhance team performance.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety policies, environmental standards, and offshore regulations.
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations as needed.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.

Equipment and Asset Management

  • Monitor equipment performance and reliability, implementing improvements as necessary.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and procurement to ensure availability for critical equipment.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and work permits.
  • Prepare and submit maintenance reports, KPIs, and performance analysis to management.
  • Support budgeting and cost control efforts for the maintenance department.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical training.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of maintenance experience in the oil and gas, LNG, or energy industry.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role or above.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of LNG processing, cryogenic systems, rotating equipment, and offshore facilities.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS).
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO, API, SASISOPA, ASEA and local offshore regulations).

Working Conditions

  • Offshore rotational schedule (e.g., 21/21).
  • Work in challenging environments, including extreme weather and confined spaces.
  • Adherence to strict safety and operational protocols.
