Job Description
  • Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible formonitoring the daily maintenance operations, and employees working in the maintenance department. This individual will work as a team player in all levels of the organization to develop, implement and maintain processes that increase the plant's safety, quality, and production performance. Works directly with leadership team members to complete necessary repairs timely to support the plant's production processes.
Job Duties:
  • Analyze problems to see how mechanical and thermal devices might help solve a particular problem
  • Use of tools to troubleshoot equipment
  • Design or redesign mechanical and thermal devices or subsystems, using analysis and computer-aided design
  • Use of PID's to make changes to different systems throughout the plant.
  • Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and to recommend remedies
  • Utilize root cause analysis and implement corrective action to resolve the issue.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
  • Use of blueprints and PID's to understand equipment
  • Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, or maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems or processes to meet requirements
  • Understanding of system designs and capabilities to meet optimum runtime and efficiency.
  • Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions.
  • Root cause analysis of equipment to get best plan in place for repair
  • Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
  • Process improvement of equipment and systems throughout the plant.
  • Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, or repair to ensure that machines or equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
  • Ensure that the quality of repair being done is up to standard
  • Direct the installation, operation, maintenance, or repair of renewable energy equipment, such as heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) or water systems.
  • Lead teams in direction of repairs that are needed
  • Apply engineering principles or practices to emerging fields, such as robotics, waste management, or biomedical engineering.
  • Process improvement to eliminate excess waste
  • Study industrial processes to maximize the efficiency of equipment applications, including equipment placement.
  • Understanding of operation and design to improve processes and optimization of equipment.
  • Establish or coordinate the maintenance or safety procedures, service schedule, or supply of materials required to maintain machines or equipment in the prescribed condition.
  • Train team members on new safety practices, maintain CCMS program for PM's and work orders coming in.
  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Starting Salary: 65k - 80k.
  • Hours Per Week: 40+
  • Overtime: Not available, this is a salaried exempt position.
  • Workweek: M-F from 7:00am - 3:30pm OR 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Shift: This will primarily be day shift. There may be needs to stay late or work weekends, normally
  • 1x/month or upon company needs. There is no extra pay
  • Payment Days: Biweekly on Thursdays

Qualifications
  • Experience required? Yes, 2+ years.
  • Is the worker required to supervise other workers? Yes, 6-8 techs, more if company requires it. The supervising tasks will be shared with the Maintenance Manager.
  • Criminal Background Check? Yes, must be able to pass a criminal background check before departure from place of recruitment. A) Employer will perform a CBC if the candidate is/has been in the US; and B) Applicant must also provide a Carta de no Antecedentes Penales from the Mexican government, requested by the recruitment company.
  • Drug Test? Yes, must pass a Panel 5 drug test before departure from place of recruitment. Positive cannabis result is not aceptable to perform the duties. Please see Drug Test Policy attached. A) Employer will coordinate it if the candidate is in the USA. B) Recruitment company will coordinate it if the applicant is in Mxico.
  • English Level Requirement: Advanced, will need to be nearly fluent in reading/writing/speaking/listening.

The employee will frequently have to walk and stand. The employee should have the ability to regularly lift up to 55lbs. The employee must be able to push and pull up to 75lbs. Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations above 4 feet. Employees are regularly exposed to cold temperatures when performing tasks in storage areas. Employees are regularly exposed to warm or hot temperatures with moderate to high humidity levels varying based on the location of the work area. The employee is regularly exposed to wet walking surfaces.
