Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Team Lead to join a globally recognized dairy manufacturing company. In this role, you will work closely with the operations shift lead to align priorities and manage labor allocation efficiently for your assigned team. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless coordination and optimal performance across the maintenance activities.

Location: 20min outside Visalia, CA

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead all work repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs for the assigned team.
  • Plan and schedule team labor coverage (sick, vac, and other absences).
  • Ensure the team is completing daily activities within the maintenance department (rounds, work plans, area cleaning)
  • Lead maintenance department communications to the operations group for the team (projects, storeroom updates, work order status)
  • Lead and support all safety follow-ups, safety programs, and safety incident reporting for assigned team.
  • Effectively lead communication process for the team, regarding plant performance and issue resolution to the management team.
  • Assist with operations team lead duties supporting absences.
  • Coordinate and perform preventative maintenance within the plant maintenance business system (SAP) as assigned.
  • Participate in breakdown analysis and follow-up registers for assigned areas.
  • Support and lead team meetings and occupational meetings
  • Assist in completing and Coordinating Safety and quality follow-ups, and actively participate in audit preparation.
  • Work with the storeroom to ensure parts are available for scheduled work, Pm's, and advance kitting program associated with the assigned area
  • Lead RCFA for the team and update progress on follow-up items generated from RCFA's.
  • Support SAP and related training as assigned by the department leadership team.
  • Support maintenance training plan, JSM/OPL creation for the maintenance department.
  • Produce a safe quality product and maintain a clean work environment by complying with all state, Company, and GMP policies and regulations.
  • Champion safety and reinforce the safety of other employees by identifying issues and problems, taking corrective action, and monitoring the corrective action.
  • Accomplish tasks by considering all areas involved, no matter how small; showing concern for all aspects of the job; accurately checking processes and tasks; and being watchful over a period of time.
  • Maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or assignments, adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
  • Work effectively and cooperatively with team/work groups or those outside the formal line of authority (e.g. peers, managers) to accomplish organizational goals; take actions that respect the needs and contributions of others; contribute to and accept the consensus. Assist team members outside classification within the department as needed with tasks and duties.
  • Effectively managing one's time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Regular Attendance is an essential function of the job.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to work a 12-hour rotating shift.
  • Must have strong leadership, communication, and listening skills along with a proven record of attendance.
  • Meeting participation and conflict resolution.
  • Must have prior experience in maintenance coordination or experience as an individual working within maintenance.
  • Individuals will have a proven ability to solve business problems.
  • Technical degree/ Established Maintenance Skills required.
