Job Title: Maintenance Technician 3
Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician 3 is a key contributor to the maintenance team, operating above a Level 2 maintenance scope with the ability to work with minimal or no supervision. This position requires advanced skills in machining, basic automation, pump and major assembly, and strong electrical expertise. The Maintenance Technician 3 will play a pivotal role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing equipment, ensuring the highest level of efficiency and functionality. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
This is a comprehensive list, but not limited to:
· Independently identify and resolve complex issues in mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
· Execute intricate repairs and replacements of components, minimizing downtime.
· Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques for efficient problem-solving.
· Perform precision machining and fabrication tasks to create or modify components as needed.
· Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for accurate machining.
· Understand and work with basic automation systems, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
· Troubleshoot and maintain automated machinery, ensuring optimal performance.
· Ability to do pump maintenance, repair, and re-kitting pumps.
· Diagnose and repair complex electrical issues in machinery and systems.
· Implement electrical upgrades and modifications as required.
· Adhere to electrical safety standards and regulations.
· Implement advanced strategies for monitoring equipment performance and optimizing efficiency.
· Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to recommend and implement improvements.
· Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, including machining, automation, pump maintenance, and electrical work.
· Generate detailed reports on equipment status, maintenance trends, and optimization strategies.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex maintenance challenges.
· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other maintenance team members.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
· Operate two-way radios.
· Read and comply with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
· Able to troubleshoot and repair common hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical problems for both the production equipment and the buildings and ground.
· Basic knowledge of building plumbing, water, compressed air, and other utilities as necessary to repair these systems.
· Ability to read, write and speak English to follow written and verbal instructions
· Willingness to work mandatory overtime

· Must have experience leading a minimum of 2 technicians to complete a project or a task
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Associates degree in Engineering related field and/or technical certification or vocational training in a relevant field.

Work Schedule
First Shift: 6:00am - 4:30pm and alternating Saturdays
Second Shift: 4:00pm - 2:30am and alternating Saturdays
