Job Summary:As a Healthcare Facilities Maintenance Employee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all healthcare facilities are in optimal condition to provide a safe and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your dedication to maintaining and repairing the physical infrastructure will directly contribute to delivering high-quality healthcare services.Key Responsibilities:Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and perform maintenance tasks such as repairing electrical systems, plumbing, Steam Boiler systems, and structural elements to ensure a safe and functional environment.Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues, such as power outages or plumbing leaks, to minimize disruptions to healthcare services and ensure patient safety. On a scheduled basis, take on-call 24/7Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures, and ensure that the facility complies with all local, state, and federal codes and regulations.Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the regular servicing and repairs of medical and non-medical equipment to ensure they are in good working order.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, inspections, and repairs performed, as well as any warranties or service agreements for facility equipment.Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare staff to understand their needs and ensure that the physical environment supports efficient and effective patient care.Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess the facility's condition and recommend improvements or upgrades to enhance safety, efficiency, and comfort.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred or 5 years experience in carpentry, plumbing and/or electricity may substitute for preferred education.Technical training or certification in facility maintenance is preferred.Proven experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a healthcare setting.Strong understanding of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and structural.Computer skills, working with and using PC-based programs, Microsoft Office, Building Automation systems, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems,Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with healthcare staff and management.Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, lift heavy objects, and respond promptly to emergencies.If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply!
