Location Description:Michael Foods, Inc's. Norfolk, Nebraska location is northwest of Omaha. The area is known for their manufacturing, farming (both livestock and grain), education, retailing, and wholesaling. Well-known as the home of Johnny Carson. Our location produces powdered and dehydrated meat and poultry products, for use in products such as seasonings, soups, and instant meals.
Responsibilities:POSITION SUMMARY:
Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structure, pipe & electrical systems in commercial industrial establishment by performing the listed functions, utilizing all safety standards and procedures.
This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures, and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.

Work Experience: Minimum one year in maintenance field
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
Language Skills: Ability to read, speak, and comprehend simple English instructions; Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumferences and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form, problem solving capabilities. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
Computer Skills: Must have strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, Google, and other Accounting/ Safety / Lean programs
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Adaptable to constant changes in the workplace.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is routinely required to walk. The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment may be loud and require hearing protection. Special care must be taken when working with or around microbes and chemicals. Safety material are provided and Personal Protective Equipment should be worn where applicable (lab and production floor). Must be able to work in 80 to 100-degree temperatures
