History: Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. It is located in the heart of West Texas. Opened in 1949, the hospital was originally located near downtown Stanton. This facility served the community well for many years, but was replaced with a state of the art 18 bed facility in 2012. The new facility is located on I20, and has been designated as a Critical Access Hospital. Summary of Responsibilities: To be successful as a Maintenance Technician II, you must be detail oriented and have great interpersonal communication skills. This position is responsible for advanced repairs, mitigating the need for contractors or at least minimizing cost. Ability to assist/learn logs, work order and reporting systems. Ability to plan and lead a crew successfully, per job tasking. Teach and assist lower ranking Technicians. Self Starter with the ability to work with little to no supervision. Ability to successfully assist with procedure revisions and implementation.RequirementsEducation:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Maintenance
Licenses/Certificates:
- Valid Texas Driver's License
Experience:
- Three (3) years experience: Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, Blueprints, Schematics, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word
