JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
* Correctly interpret work orders
* Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
* Perform basic facility maintenance tasks.
* Perform basic equipment maintenance tasks.
* Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
* Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical processes.
* Ability to determine repairs needed for future corrective maintenance work.
* Perform basic non-load bearing welds using mig or stick welding
* Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
* Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required.
* Perform other duties as requested by lead, supervisor or manager.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* MUST have a valid US Passport or birth certification to be cleared
* High school diploma or GED required;
* 3 to 6 year of manufacturing experience;
* Strong Welding Experience - MIG, STICK/Arc
* Electrical / Wiring experience
* Prior military experience; or technical certification / degree required
* Constant exposure to indoor / outdoor manufacturing environment
* Constant exposure to moderate noise
* Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, odors, hot / cold temperatures, inside / outside noise vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
* Must be able to work any shift including overtime, weekends and holidays if scheduled.
* Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist and work at heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve (12) hours.
* Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping, pushing and pulling of materials.
* Must be able to safety operate an overhead crane, boom lift and manlift.
* Must be able to reach and work above and below the shoulder level.
* Must be able to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery.
* Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
* Visual acuity skill to detect any flaws in the parts being inspected
