Job Description:

Overview:

This is a safety sensitive position.

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the overall maintenance of the warehouse facility and equipment, following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, fork lift, and measuring and testing instruments.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts regular safety inspections on the building, grounds and equipment including but not limited to , roofing, masonry, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, fire systems, exit doors, dock levelers, dock doors, pallet racking.
  • Inspects and tests machinery and equipment, and diagnoses mechanical problems. Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand tools
  • Installs fabricates, modifies, demolishes conveyors, equipment, offices and other structures.
  • Prepares estimates including materials, labor, and time needed for assigned projects.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in MIG, Arc and Gas Welding.
  • Track and schedule vendor visits as required to support site and business operations
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five years minimum experience as a maintenance technician in a related industry or three years experience with a trade school equivalent to two years experience.
