Job Description:
Maintenance TechAn ESS maintenance teach plays an essential role in maintaining the safety and functionality of school facilities, ensuring every school day runs smoothly and students can focus on learning. Responsibilities
  • Provide solutions to our customers by executing projects safely, skillfully, and with excellence; in a way that satisfies our customers
  • Repair and perform maintenance on water and electrical systems; kitchen equipment; heating, cooling and refrigeration equipment; and general maintenance and repairs
  • Perform general carpentry and painting duties
  • Take direction from supervisor/customer
  • Mechanical, electrical, and construction-oriented tasks
  • Move boxes, equipment and/or tools in between schools and work areas
  • Directly responsible for the safety of team members
  • Using skill tools to complete tasks
  • Keep work areas clean
  • Communicate issues and problems that arise to the supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Plant Operations or Superintendent of Schools
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Background Clearance
  • Technical School Training or at least 5 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry and/or painting
  • Valid Drivers License with at least a 5 years clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Effective communication with team members
  • Basic computer skills - check emails, respond to tickets in our ticketing system, order parts online
  • Ability to follow instructions and remain coachable
  • Solution-oriented mindset for in-the-moment problems that arise
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated - must be able to work unsupervised and productively
  • Skilled tradesman in installing, dismantling, repairing, reassembling, and moving equipment
  • Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds
