Academies of Math and Science-Arkansas Maintenance Technician-AMS Little RockSalary: $17-23/hr.The Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of top-rated, public K-8 charter schools in Arizona that have been in operation for 20 years. AMS Arkansas is our network's first out-of-state expansion, and we could not be more excited to serve students and families in the Little Rock community! We deeply believe in the power of high expectations and a rigorous curriculum to develop today's students into tomorrow's global visionaries. AMS Little Rock will have its founding year in 2024-2025. We are looking for an exceptional Maintenance person to perform a variety of general maintenance and custodial duties in and around school buildings including plumbing, painting, landscaping, and repairs. Responsibilities: - Maintain school equipment including the cafeteria, restrooms, and other facilities in a functional condition; recommend and oversee the replacement of equipment as needed
- Maintain records of maintenance performed as necessary
- Maintain a supply of and account for cleaning supplies and equipment; maintain an adequate inventory at all times
- Comply with chemical handling laws and safety regulations as required; maintain a safe working environment
- Maintain security of buildings, equipment, and tools
- Be able to respond quickly to maintenance and plumbing emergencies
- Answer questions and interact professionally with school administration
- Provide sound recommendations to administration and business office on matters involving outside contractors
- Assist with various maintenance projects both large and small on campus
Qualifications:- 3+ years of related experience
