Maintenance Technician, 1st shiftLocation: Wayne, PA (USA)Onsite Monday - Friday (2 shifts: 6am-2:30pm or 8am-4:30pm shift)As a Maintenance Technician at our Brand New DSM Biomedical location in Wayne, PA, a subsidiary of dsm-firmenich, you will be called upon to perform any and all duties consistent with assuring that dsm-firmenich products are of consistent and high quality. You will do this by assuming responsibility for set-up, repair, and maintenance of manufacturing tooling and their related equipment while maintaining a clean, secure and a safe work environment. Responsibilities: - Install, set up, repair, and maintain new and existing manufacturing tooling and equipment.
- Coordinate with OEM/Service vendors to ensure scheduling of maintenance activities executed by third parties
- Develop and update maintenance procedures, as necessary including recommending improvements to existing maintenance procedures or proposing new maintenance items to maximize equipment uptime
- Complete entries in Preventative Maintenance Logbooks and CMMS program.
- Work with manufacturing personnel to trouble shoot manufacturing process problems.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineering as required.
- Assist with general facility issues relating to plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services to maintain proper working conditions.
- Maintain, non-production equipment, which supports production.
- Organize and maintain spare parts inventory for completing timely repairs on all equipment.

Some OT is required.You bring: - High school diploma or equivalent required/ Two-year technical degree preferred.
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar position required, preferably in Medical Device manufacturing or GMP related industry.
- Mechanical ability, PLC programing, troubleshooting, and rebuilding skills.
- Experience with chemical process equipment (reactors, automated assembly equipment) preferred.
- Willingness to learn is essential.
- SAP, Blue Mountain and eMaint preferred.
- Working knowledge of VOM & amperage meters.
- Working knowledge of scope & usage of General Work Permitting Procedure & Processes.
- Working Knowledge of plumbing, electrical & HVAC systems.
- Working knowledge of various power & hand tools; wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Read & understand schematics.
- Ability to plan, execute & complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
