Job Description:

The Maintenance Tech II performs work in connection with the operation, maintenance, and security of building, grounds, and facilities in order to ensure efficient plant operation.

Pay range $24.00-$28.00 per hour depending on experience.

Full time 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Bilingual in English and Amharic preferred

A day in the life might include:

  • planning, scheduling, participating in, and inspecting the work of outside contractors engaged in the operation, maintenance, repair, and safeguarding of buildings and Community
  • perform preventive maintenance for all equipment and systems
  • complete work orders efficiently and ensure they are closed on company computer system
  • make ready vacant units for new residents
  • respond for urgent and emergency maintenance requests
  • cleaning of the outside and inside of property
  • maintaining the safety and security of common areas including community rooms, laundry and trash rooms.

To be successful in the role, you would have:

  • 4+ years of previous experience in apartment maintenance, building maintenance or construction, or any equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment in a technical field such as HVAC, building trades or building utilities program preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in using smart devices and property management software
  • proficient in using hand and power tools
  • Current & valid Drivers' License and driving record free of major infractions
  • Availability that includes evenings and some weekends
  • ability to drive golfcart
